John Tipton Fowler was born in 1842. Intensive paper and sketchy DNA research have not allowed me to yet come to a definite conclusion as to the Fowler family line from whom he descends.
It is my belief that he was the son of Washington (AKA William) Fowler (born 1818), son of John Fowler (born 1787), son of Ephraim Fowler (1765-1822), son of Henry Ellis Fowler (1846-1808)
Only yDNA testing will prove the above.
